The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximino Harriet got free with Denílson Catarinense in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Renato Baptista in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denílson Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Karavela's zone, Maximino Harriet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denílson Catarinense came out of the goal and Maximino Harriet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denílson Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin López in the 14th minute of the match. Denílson Catarinense was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulo Renato Baptista showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Maximino Harriet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Denílson Catarinense. Karavela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximino Harriet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 21st play minutes Kevin López shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Denílson Catarinense and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Renato Baptista in the 24th minute of play forced Karavela's goalkeeper Denílson Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denílson Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin López, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Karavela getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Guto Rosado hit a great ball. Denílson Catarinense was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maximino Harriet showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 27 minute of play. When Bruno Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karavela's protests and gave Bruno Lopes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Karavela getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Bruno Lopes hit a great ball. Maximino Harriet scored 6-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denílson Catarinense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute, Paulo Renato Baptista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The In-Crivel EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Denílson Catarinense was a little too slow when Kevin López got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 8-0. Denílson Catarinense was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Paulo Renato Baptista capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paulo Renato Baptista really showed his touch with that goal: 9-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
