Ubatuba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave O MOTIVO ⚽ the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ubatuba's Váldson Pitta got a free kick in the 28th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vito Hoffmann was the one to do the kick off. Charles de Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vânderson Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Ubatuba's goalkeeper Charles de Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kaká da Silva. Magno das Neves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erivaldo Hermes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play.
