After 2 played minutes MARINUS MZC got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Simões. After 5th play minutes Régis Dante shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Marcos Pimenta and just under the crossbar into goal. If Waldemar Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waldemar Veiga got free with Angelo Romero in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, Régis Dante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Pimenta. MARINUS MZC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Régis Dante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 21st match minute, Romando Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wágner Valladares to maneuver through the defense. If Percival de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Régis Dante struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Marcos Pimenta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romando Futebol Clube. In the 33rd minute Mazinho Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Romando Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Romando Futebol Clube's Régis Dante looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caetano Simões was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, one of MARINUS MZC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MARINUS MZC. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for Romando Futebol Clube. Augusto Cordeiro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcos Pimenta. 0-5. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Régis Dante sped through MARINUS MZC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcos Pimenta. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Percival de Toledo put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Marcos Pimenta. Romando Futebol Clube's Angelo Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Veiga in the 72nd minute of play. Waldemar Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Romando Futebol Clube's Régis Dante got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Régis Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Régis Dante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Marcos Pimenta made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Dante in the 92nd minute of play forced MARINUS MZC's goalkeeper Marcos Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ricardo Lucas fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MARINUS MZC's protests and gave Ricardo Lucas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd match minute, MARINUS MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Lucas to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in MARINUS MZC's zone, Régis Dante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Pimenta came out of the goal and Régis Dante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Romando Futebol Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MARINUS MZC.
