The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Caetano Simões received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fernando Courtois came out and tried to block the shot, but Caetano Simões slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 12th minute. Fernando Courtois made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caetano Simões in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Rodolfo Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's Caetano Simões sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernando Courtois narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 18 minutes into the game, Xiboquinha FC's Caetano Simões nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiquinho Soares made a kick off.
