Lucio Geofredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Burko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Eleuterio Fiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albino Nofre was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Lucio Geofredo made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Ariel Burko sent off a good shot on target. Albino Nofre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Erruki in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Luciano Gipuzkoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucio Geofredo was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Florida Gulf Coast's Lucio Geofredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Burko in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Higinio Jerano to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Florida Gulf Coast getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Clemente Virila hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Ariel Burko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucio Geofredo. Florida Gulf Coast's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ariel Burko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Talleres's Albino Nofre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Fiz in the 70th minute of play.
