Berutti FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Mouricio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The chacarita juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Berutti FC were winning 0-1.

Berutti FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave chacarita juniors the free kick. Orlando Mouricio's late challenge caught a chacarita juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The chacarita juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 93 minutes into the match, chacarita juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Piorno came free, but Rodolfo Froylan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Urbano Frisco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mark Wenerdahl. Berutti FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Urbano Frisco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Berutti FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
