The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Scaloneta FC booed when Vamos Los Pibes!!!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Cisco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Cresitobalo in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elvio Gonchan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Scaloneta FC's Eustacio Raebert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Cresconio in the 11th minute of play. After 12 minutes, Romulo Sergi made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s Elvio Gonchan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romulo Sergi in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elvio Gonchan saved Vamos Los Pibes!!!! from getting behind. Nunez Chorche hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Sergi came free, but Elvio Gonchan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Scaloneta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esequiel Barco to maneuver through the defense. Jose Cisco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Sergi in the 39th minute of play forced Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s goalkeeper Elvio Gonchan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elvio Gonchan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romulo Sergi in the 40th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaston Santana got free with Eustacio Raebert in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaac Cresconio to make the kick off. Silvio Firme's late challenge caught a Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvio Firme helped the player get up and apologised. Silvio Firme hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Romulo Sergi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elvio Gonchan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s zone, Angelo Cresitobalo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elvio Gonchan came out of the goal and Angelo Cresitobalo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elvio Gonchan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Sergi in the 70th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Romulo Sergi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elvio Gonchan was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Isaac Cresconio charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isaac Cresconio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd minute, Isaac Cresconio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elvio Gonchan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Charles in the 77th minute of play. With a little luck, Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s Elvio Gonchan got control of the ball when Angelo Cresitobalo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The long shot by Rodri De Paul in the 84th minute really tested Elvio Gonchan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 85th minute, Angelo Cresitobalo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elvio Gonchan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 89th minute, Romulo Sergi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Scaloneta FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 92nd minute, Eliseo Etor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Vamos Los Pibes!!!!'s goalkeeper Elvio Gonchan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Cresitobalo. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Scaloneta FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
