Podador Raheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Videl Mauriz made a huge save. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Yan Zhi Chuan took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Videl Mauriz. Videl Mauriz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Ilkka Markkula made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Corredor in the 97th minute. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
