In the 7th minute, Vincent Linberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matthias Stephansson kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After 11 minutes, Jonatan Kjellman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the United 11 FC and the MAFFIAN players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for United 11 FC! Östen Carlsson had in the 11thth minute some difficulties stopping Pete Sampras's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Leif Östensson hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. George Svensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Fransson. Östen Carlsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pete Sampras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th match minute, United 11 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Östensson to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andre Agassi in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Östen Carlsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. United 11 FC's Östen Carlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andre Agassi in the 26th minute of play. MAFFIAN were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after United 11 FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vincent Linberg took the corner. A hard shot 30 in the game by Eric Fransson from a close distance when the talented Aron Dahlbom managed to make a qualified save. MAFFIAN's players were relieved. In the 33rd match minute, MAFFIAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Linberg to maneuver through the defense. Aron Dahlbom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Fransson in the 37th minute. Eric Fransson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Aron Dahlbom made a huge save. Andre Agassi took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Östen Carlsson. Östen Carlsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Östen Carlsson came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by MAFFIAN's George Svensson. But to his dismay, George Svensson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After the first half MAFFIAN were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andre Agassi to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Pete Sampras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, United 11 FC's Matthias Stephansson got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, United 11 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Wilander came free, but Östen Carlsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of United 11 FC booed when MAFFIAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Wilander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Östen Carlsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pete Sampras, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When Eric Fransson came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the United 11 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Fransson couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andre Agassi in the 63rd minute of play forced United 11 FC's goalkeeper Östen Carlsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aron Dahlbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Fransson in the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to United 11 FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Freddie Alberg hit a great ball. Östen Carlsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre Agassi in the 67th minute of play. MAFFIAN's Aron Dahlbom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Fransson in the 68th minute of play. Aron Dahlbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Fransson, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After a rather tough play, MAFFIAN's Rasmus Kilberg got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 80thth minute of the game Eric Fransson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MAFFIAN's Aron Dahlbom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. George Svensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Östen Carlsson made a huge save. In the 88th minute, Andre Agassi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Östen Carlsson. The goal made the score 1-4. Östen Carlsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pete Sampras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched MAFFIAN eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
