Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Hortlax RK's Casper Wennerberg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikael Bergdal got free with Dick Askstedt in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7th minute, Djurgården IF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marc Wästerberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 8 minutes into the match, Hortlax RK's Mikael Bergdal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dick Askstedt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dick Askstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casper Wennerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Djurgården IF's zone, Casper Wennerberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dick Askstedt came out of the goal and Casper Wennerberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute of the match, Mikael Bergdal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dick Askstedt was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Mikael Bergdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ted Ödmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edvard Hellgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Cane in the 31st minute of play. Dick Askstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Larsfält, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Marc Wästerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Dick Askstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rdth minute of the game Stig-Ove Engström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hortlax RK's Edvard Hellgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dick Askstedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casper Wennerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aaron Cane was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Hortlax RK's Marc Wästerberg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dick Askstedt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mikael Bergdal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edvard Hellgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig-Ove Engström in the 64th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Djurgården IF's Aaron Cane slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edvard Hellgren. That made the score 1-1 after 65 minutes of play. Leif Stålberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dick Askstedt didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Hortlax RK's Mikael Bergdal shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After having played for 75 minutes, Casper Wennerberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hortlax RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casper Wennerberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute, Stig-Ove Engström made a precise shot to the right of Edvard Hellgren. Hortlax RK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikael Bergdal in the 88th minute of play forced Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Dick Askstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Mikael Bergdal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dick Askstedt. Djurgården IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mikael Bergdal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Dick Askstedt came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Hortlax RK's Mikael Bergdal. But to his dismay, Mikael Bergdal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Hortlax RK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
