The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Hagberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Oskar Andreasson having to interfere. Alvin Bergfelt's late challenge caught a Sävedalen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alvin Bergfelt helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, AIK FOTBOLL's Alvin Bergfelt got a free kick in the 5th minute. Sävedalen's Tor Jönsson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 5th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sven-Oskar Andreasson but with some difficulty. Sävedalen:s Arne Åkesson showed great skill when he stopped Fredrik Axelsson:s penalty. In the 24th minute, Sävedalen's Daniel Hagberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sven-Oskar Andreasson. Sven-Oskar Andreasson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 29th minute of the match, Daniel Hagberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sven-Oskar Andreasson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Åke Pil during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sävedalen booed when AIK FOTBOLL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Åke Pil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Mark Simon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd match minute, Sävedalen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaf Hellström to maneuver through the defense. Arne Åkesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gert Haeger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After having played for 66 minutes, Jonathan Tingberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sävedalen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Tingberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arne Åkesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Simon in the 68th minute of the match. Georg Termander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Arne Åkesson made a huge save. Sven-Oskar Andreasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Tingberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After 81st play minutes Jonathan Tingberg shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Sven-Oskar Andreasson and just under the crossbar into goal. Gottfrid Sundin charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gottfrid Sundin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gottfrid Sundin hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match.
