The referee ignored FC Hamneskär's protests and gave Göran Dahlgren a yellow card for diving instead. Göran Dahlgren kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Hamneskär's Christer Bollström got a free kick in the 10th minute. With a little luck, FC Hamneskär's Rickard Falkrans got control of the ball when Mark Dahlberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Hamneskär's Rickard Falkrans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save FC Hamneskär from getting a goal against them. FC Hamneskär were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Sonstorps Fotboll's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ivar Bogren took the corner. Carl Utfal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christer Bollström, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Göran Dahlgren got his second yellow card in the match during the 24th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 25th minute, Göran Dahlgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rune Tönnberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rickard Falkrans having to interfere. FC Hamneskär's Christer Bollström got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Jerry Bengtsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29thth minute of the game Rune Tönnberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Hamneskär's Rickard Falkrans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Sonstorps Fotboll's Mark Dahlberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rickard Falkrans. That made the score 1-0 after 35 minutes of play. Carl Utfal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christer Bollström went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in FC Hamneskär's zone, Mark Dahlberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rickard Falkrans came out of the goal and Mark Dahlberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christer Bollström to strike the kick off in the second half. Carl Utfal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivar Bogren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 53 played minutes Sonstorps Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Max Apelqvist. After having played for 54 minutes, Ivar Bogren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Hamneskär's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivar Bogren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jørg Heichendorff kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 64th minute of the match Ivar Bogren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carl Utfal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 66th minute, Rune Tönnberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rickard Falkrans was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. A hard shot 70 in the game by Christer Bollström from a close distance when the talented Carl Utfal managed to make a qualified save. Sonstorps Fotboll's players were relieved. In the 72nd minute Jørg Heichendorff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Falkrans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mark Dahlberg came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Sonstorps Fotboll fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark Dahlberg couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Dahlberg in the 77th minute of play forced FC Hamneskär's goalkeeper Rickard Falkrans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christer Bollström in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carl Utfal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 87th minute Folke Deckbergh suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After a rather tough play, FC Hamneskär's Jerry Bengtsson got a free kick in the 90th minute. Icke Snabb charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Icke Snabb the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Christer Bollström who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Carl Utfal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 94 minutes, Jerry Bengtsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Hamneskär and the Sonstorps Fotboll players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Hamneskär getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jerry Bengtsson hit a great ball.
