Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Balavanis's Toader Arotăriței started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Maxim Petran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MIT Craiova and the Balavanis players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, MIT Craiova's Maxim Petran got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Vlad Anghel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toader Arotăriței, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After 15 played minutes, Balavanis's Marin Gavrilă shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vlad Anghel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Balavanis reached it. Cristinel Bocaneț's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Petre Baicea skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Petre Baicea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Gorgan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petre Baicea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Bocaneț in the 20th minute of the match. Cristinel Bocaneț recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 29 minutes, Gigel Gorgan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MIT Craiova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gigel Gorgan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Ştefan Şimoc threw the ball into play from the sideline. MIT Craiova's Maxim Petran quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Petre Baicea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sever Dobrescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristinel Bocaneț got free with Petre Baicea in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gigi Văcăroiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Balavanis's Petre Baicea got control of the ball when Cristinel Bocaneț tried to sneak it across the goal line. Toader Arotăriței sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristinel Bocaneț stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristinel Tapalagă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Marin Gavrilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marin Gavrilă came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Balavanis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marin Gavrilă couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Cristinel Bocaneț managed to get in a good position for a shot. MIT Craiova's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristinel Bocaneț was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petre Baicea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristinel Bocaneț in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petre Baicea saved Balavanis from getting behind. Vlad Anghel made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Cristinel Tapalagă sent off a good shot on target. Marin Gavrilă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 82 minutes into the match, MIT Craiova's goalkeeper Vlad Anghel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marin Gavrilă. Gabriel Tatomir kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Maxim Petran might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petre Baicea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maxim Petran ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87th minute, Cristinel Bocaneț ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petre Baicea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Toader Arotăriței received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Vlad Anghel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vlad Anghel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Toader Arotăriței showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 95 minute of play. The MIT Craiova fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Balavanis were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
