The supporters of Garlic Eaters booed when Rot-Weiss-Essen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erkan Fostiropoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trey Read charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Trey Read the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th match minute, Garlic Eaters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trey Read to maneuver through the defense. After 10 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Maurizio Brink. After some careless play in the Rot-Weiss-Essen defense, James Tuck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vasco Jackisch. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vasco Jackisch should have stopped the shot. In the 17th match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erkan Fostiropoulos to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute James Tuck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasco Jackisch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Gez Barber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vasco Jackisch was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Brandon Wells made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elmar Assing in the 29th minute. Albert Crawshaw scored 0-3 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vasco Jackisch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 39 minutes Garlic Eaters's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hannes Kapell who took care of the corner kick. The referee felt a red card was in order, 40 minutes into the game, when Francis Cummings put in a rough tackle.

Vasco Jackisch was a little too slow when Gez Barber got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 1-4. In the 57th minute, Abraham Read fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Brandon Wells made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erkan Fostiropoulos in the 58th minute of play. After some careless play in the Garlic Eaters defense, Erkan Fostiropoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brandon Wells. The Garlic Eaters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brandon Wells should have stopped the shot. After 66 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Elmar Assing. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Albert Crawshaw managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garlic Eaters's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Crawshaw was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vasco Jackisch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vasco Jackisch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abraham Read went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. In the 91st minute Elmar Assing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brandon Wells saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Garlic Eaters left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rot-Weiss-Essen.
