Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lázaro Oliveira in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sérgio Gameiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Lázaro Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. MZ Fénix's supporters rose to their feet, but Lázaro Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Gameiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. MZ Fénix's Delfim Vilas Boas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Soeiro in the 7th minute of play. Wilson Pestana's late challenge caught a Andarilhos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilson Pestana helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Andarilhos booed when MZ Fénix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson Pestana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delfim Vilas Boas made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Zarco Menezes sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute, one of MZ Fénix:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MZ Fénix. MZ Fénix:s Delfim Vilas Boas showed great skill when he stopped Jorge Braga:s penalty. 22 minutes into the game, Andarilhos's Jorge Braga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Delfim Vilas Boas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 26 minutes in the game João Cunha did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jorge Braga. Nicolas Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Sérgio Gameiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Andarilhos booed when MZ Fénix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázaro Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the game, João Cunha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Andarilhos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MZ Fénix the free kick. Noel Tinoco scored 1-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sérgio Gameiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Castelo Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
