Gudesteo Zabalo hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Ritchie Roig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Braga in the 4th minute of play. With 9 minutes on the clock, Fábio Lucena commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 9 minutes into the game, one of Andarilhos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The crowd rose to their feet as Clube Esportivo Saudade's Armando Reina slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sérgio Gameiro. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. Andarilhos's Sérgio Gameiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Reina in the 16th minute of play. Ritchie Roig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertino Severiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Clube Esportivo Saudade's goal looked a bit too open when Zarco Menezes came free, but Ritchie Roig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 played minutes Andarilhos got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Sampaio. If Romão Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ritchie Roig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zarco Menezes in the 29th minute of play. Andarilhos's Sérgio Gameiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Andarilhos from getting a goal against them. Sérgio Gameiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Reina, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. A collision led to Andarilhos getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Romão Neves hit a great ball. If Bernat Laredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sérgio Gameiro made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Gudesteo Zabalo sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertino Severiano in the 46th minute of play forced Clube Esportivo Saudade's goalkeeper Ritchie Roig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albertino Severiano in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ritchie Roig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Reina to make the kick off. Ritchie Roig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zarco Menezes, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Sérgio Gameiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gudesteo Zabalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gudesteo Zabalo in the 94th minute of play forced Andarilhos's goalkeeper Sérgio Gameiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Andarilhos's Jarbas Estrela got a free kick in the 95th minute.
