In the 9th minute Kliment Ashkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Stroobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes in the game, Christijan van Asseldonk fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Anton Lalchev having to interfere. Anton Lalchev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hans-Cees Ricksen went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Anton Lalchev made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Hans-Cees Ricksen sent off a good shot on target. Ted Stroobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kuzman Leyarski in the 26th minute of the match. Hans-Cees Ricksen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Anton Lalchev made a huge save. In the 33rd minute, Christijan van Asseldonk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Kuzman Leyarski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ted Stroobos. Albertus FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kuzman Leyarski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With 41 minutes on the clock, Cristo Guzman commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Albertus FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Albertus FC:s Ted Stroobos showed great skill when he stopped Kuzman Leyarski:s penalty. Kuzman Leyarski took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ted Stroobos. Ted Stroobos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Albertus FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MANCHESTER UNITED were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kuzman Leyarski made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladko Manchev in the 52nd minute of play forced Albertus FC's goalkeeper Ted Stroobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ted Kamps during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 53 played minutes Albertus FC got a freekick which was hit by Ted Kamps. Albertus FC's Rolf Korevaar got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pavel Kuzev kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Ted Stroobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kliment Ashkov in the 61st minute of play. Ted Stroobos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rusi Hetemov in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Christijan van Asseldonk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Lalchev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Albertus FC booed when MANCHESTER UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kuzman Leyarski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Albertus FC's Rolf Korevaar got a free kick in the 68th minute. Albertus FC's Ted Stroobos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Albertus FC from getting a goal against them. Anton Lalchev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christijan van Asseldonk's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Rusi Hetemov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Stroobos having to interfere. The MANCHESTER UNITED players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
