The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedrão Hoffmann scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Santana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcos Santana didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Montesclarense E.C.'s Pedrão Hoffmann shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Jarbas Vinhas's late challenge caught a Iron Maiden Football's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jarbas Vinhas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Jarbas Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão Hoffmann in the 21st minute of play forced Iron Maiden Football's goalkeeper Marcos Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedrão Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Marcos Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrão Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrão Hoffmann in the 28th minute of the match. Marcos Santana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedrão Hoffmann's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute, Christiano Siqueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Santana was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Marcos Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrão Hoffmann in the 34th minute of play. Tostão Cardoso came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Iron Maiden Football's Túlio Mattos. But to his dismay, Túlio Mattos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Pedrão Hoffmann took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Santana. Marcos Santana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The audience was convinced that Pedrão Hoffmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Santana was relentless in the 47th minute of the game.

The wind increased when Adilson Silveira made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Rocha during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcos Santana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedrão Hoffmann in the 57th minute. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Pedrão Hoffmann put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Marcos Santana. Jarbas Vinhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Marcos Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Santana was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedrão Hoffmann showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 65 minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Pedrão Hoffmann notched a goal, 1-7, to the right of Iron Maiden Football's Marcos Santana. Marcos Santana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pedrão Hoffmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Santana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedrão Hoffmann ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedrão Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedrão Hoffmanns short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Marcos Santana to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Willian Aguiar hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute of the match Christiano Siqueira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Santana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pedrão Hoffmann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Marcos Santana when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pedrão Hoffmanns short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Marcos Santana to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Montesclarense E.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
