After 24 played minutes Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Souza. César Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 played minutes Zuera Never End MZC got a freekick which was hit by Joel Pimenta. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Pernambucano in the 26th minute of play forced Zuera Never End MZC's goalkeeper Afonsinho Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rômulo Bezerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without César Rosa having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s zone, Leandro Pitta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. César Rosa came out of the goal and Leandro Pitta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. César Rosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeferson Vasconcelos in the 36th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jeferson Vasconcelos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ-'s Pedrão Leal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Afonsinho Sampaio. Afonsinho Sampaio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 61st match minute, Zuera Never End MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd match minute, Zuera Never End MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovanni Travassos to maneuver through the defense. Breno Pernambucano's late challenge caught a Zuera Never End MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
