Caetano de Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Charles de Brito made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Ubatuba's zone, Carlos Lira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles de Brito came out of the goal and Carlos Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the ADM Taquaras defense, Romeu Gaspar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Décio Marinho. The ADM Taquaras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Décio Marinho should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute, Magno das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute Magno das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Magno das Neves came free, but Décio Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Natã do Vale left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ubatuba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 47th minute Carlos Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

59 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Romeu Gaspar came free, but Décio Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Luiz Paulo Pereira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Décio Marinho. That made the score 1-5 in the 60 minute of play. Charles de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Roberto Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Décio Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Paulo Pereira in the 70th minute of the match. Ubatuba's Luiz Paulo Pereira managed to work through ADM Taquaras's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Luiz Paulo Pereira dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Natã do Vale took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Décio Marinho. Décio Marinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. ADM Taquaras's Décio Marinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save ADM Taquaras from getting a goal against them. Romeu Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Marinho having to interfere. In the 80th match minute, ADM Taquaras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Roberto Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Ubatuba's Décio Marinho threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Romeu Gaspar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 85 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Romeu Gaspar came free, but Décio Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Décio Marinho made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Romeu Gaspar sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th match minute, ADM Taquaras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mané de Lima to maneuver through the defense. Ubatuba's Hermínio Paraibano couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ADM Taquaras. Décio Marinho was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Magno das Neves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Magno das Neves really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. When the final whistle sounded Ubatuba left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ADM Taquaras.
