Dorian do Vale started the match with the kick off. Sérgio Corrêa's late challenge caught a Merusca F&P's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sérgio Corrêa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 2nd match minute, Classe A Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. 4 minutes into the game, Tony Favoretto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Franz Dubosq was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Merusca F&P's attentive Régis de Souza managed to snatch the ball when Claudinho Sena made a throw-in in the 7th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorian do Vale got free with Gil Ceni in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dorian do Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Ceni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Dorian do Vale in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gil Ceni, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Merusca F&P's Régis de Souza got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 14 played minutes Merusca F&P got a freekick which was hit by Régis de Souza. After 17 played minutes Classe A Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Sena. Franz Dubosq took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enio Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorian do Vale got free with Gil Ceni in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Merusca F&P's attentive Leopoldo de Queiroz managed to snatch the ball when Claudinho Sena made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. Dorian do Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Gil Ceni made a huge save.

53 minutes into the match, Elivélton Seco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Franz Dubosq, 0-3. A collision led to Classe A Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Enio Maia hit a great ball. Gil Ceni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Régis de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. A hard shot 60 in the game by Hudson Hoffmann from a close distance when the talented Franz Dubosq managed to make a qualified save. Merusca F&P's players were relieved. After 63 played minutes Merusca F&P got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Nesta. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elivélton Seco in the 65th minute of play forced Merusca F&P's goalkeeper Franz Dubosq to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Tony Favoretto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Franz Dubosq. The goal made the score 0-4. Merusca F&P's Kléber Ferreira was substituted for Silvério Velloso. Tony Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franz Dubosq having to interfere. In the 76th minute Tony Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franz Dubosq saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Walmir Pontes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Gil Ceni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 82 minutes into the match, Classe A Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Pitta came free, but Gil Ceni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claudinho Sena during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Classe A Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Claudinho Sena hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the game, Elivélton Seco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Franz Dubosq. Elivélton Seco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. In the 94th minute, Joélson de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Sérgio Corrêa took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Franz Dubosq to make any attempt to save it.
