The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of PINGO PINGO booed when Piratas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Casomiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Javier Mascherano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. The referee showed Virgilio Lobo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edelmiro Demesio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Eutor in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, Piratas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Aimar to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, PINGO PINGO's Natalio Chale tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the game, Rei Andrey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PINGO PINGO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piratas FC the free kick.
