The audience was convinced that Bernardino Lano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tobias Elizardo was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Lano in the 44th minute of play forced Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper Tobias Elizardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardino Lano in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tobias Elizardo saved Sarmiento de Resistencia from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 53 played minutes Sarmiento de Resistencia got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Restu. Bernardino Lano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Tobias Elizardo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Vaqueteros FC defense, Froilan Martino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaudencio Eufemio. The Vaqueteros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaudencio Eufemio should have stopped the shot. Gaudencio Eufemio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquiles Indar, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Tobias Elizardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Lano in the 66th minute of play.
