In the 12th minute, Mendoza Joseph ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virila Parra was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Virila Parra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose-Juan Galdamez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, CD Municipal's Bento Arberas got a free kick in the 24th minute. When Ponce Mudarra came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the FC Philotimo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ponce Mudarra couldn't finish the play. Ponce Mudarra hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Mendoza Joseph notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of CD Municipal's Virila Parra. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jose-Juan Galdamez to make the kick off. Hurtado Espejo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Virila Parra made a huge save. Ponce Mudarra kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. CD Municipal's Marko Orellan got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute, FC Philotimo's Antonio Melendez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Antonio Melendez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Philotimo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Antonio Melendez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Joaquin Molina placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The supporters of CD Municipal booed when FC Philotimo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vidal Boñal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Philotimo's Urbez Foronda got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 77 played minutes FC Philotimo got a freekick which was hit by Samaniego Guerrez. FC Philotimo's Mendoza Joseph managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Oidor Castillejo in the 80 minute of the game. After having played for 84 minutes, Jose-Juan Galdamez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Philotimo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose-Juan Galdamez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virila Parra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbez Foronda, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 93rd minute Jaime Maliaño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavica Enderica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Philotimo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
