In the 23rd match minute, ORIZABA F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Txema to maneuver through the defense. Saturnino Qwinton got a throw-in 25 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Rogelio Raulo. Atletico Maturrango were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after ORIZABA F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Castel Neses took the corner. At last the ball reached Gonchan Gallego at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of ORIZABA F.C.. 0-1. The supporters of ORIZABA F.C. booed when Atletico Maturrango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Cabarcos didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haitz Peruyera in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uriel Larpe saved ORIZABA F.C. from getting behind. Nahia Velon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dante Txema went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Denis Soin made the kick off in the second half.
