Tigran Balayan made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Erlin Haaland sent off a good shot on target. MILLONARIOS FC were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Khachatryan's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jacindo Rotaetamorga took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Fernado Zaldain heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The referee felt a red card was in order, 17 minutes into the game, when Markel Robles put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of MILLONARIOS FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Khachatryan:s goal. Gianluigi Donnarumma had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Grigor Grigoryan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Khachatryan's Grigor Grigoryan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gianluigi Donnarumma made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, MILLONARIOS FC's Xalvador Olmos got a free kick in the 20th minute. A throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game was made by Anton Florei with Stevie Timmons as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The supporters of Khachatryan booed when MILLONARIOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tximitx Cabezas didn't get a good kick on the ball.
