After 14 minutes of play, Karen FC's Karl-Michael Andersson made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 19 minutes into the match, Gunnar Bure had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven-Olof Gudmundsson. Bloodthirsty FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gunnar Bure was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Linus Brovall hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Bloodthirsty FC's Sven-Olof Gudmundsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Linus Brovall in the 26th minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Bloodthirsty FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Pihlgren to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Karen FC booed when Bloodthirsty FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kåre Broman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. A collision led to Karen FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Mathias Julin hit a great ball. Sven-Olof Gudmundsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnar Bure in the 85th minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kjell Larsfält couldn't finish the play. The Bloodthirsty FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Karen FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
