The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Folke Klack during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 6 played minutes SE7EN got a freekick which was hit by Folke Klack. After a rather tough play, Melchester Rovers's Wictor Sandström got a free kick in the 7th minute. Kent Carlberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Viktor Berggren made a huge save. Wictor Sandström charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wictor Sandström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kent Carlberg got free with Viktor Berggren in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Karl-Michael Lövkvist sped through Melchester Rovers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jimmy Ståhlberg. Jimmy Ståhlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulrik Thorsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Viktor Berggren was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Sonny Allbom capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sonny Allbom really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kent Carlberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 71 played minutes Melchester Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Rasmus Colin. Folke Klack took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jimmy Ståhlberg. Melchester Rovers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Viktor Berggren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sonny Allbom in the 76th minute of play. Kent Carlberg hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Olof Melberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jimmy Ståhlberg. That made the score 1-4 in the 82 minute of play. Lukas Westerstrand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tobias Möllgren's late challenge caught a Melchester Rovers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tobias Möllgren helped the player get up and apologised. Jimmy Ståhlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olof Melberg in the 91st minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SE7EN eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
