Matei Varga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigore Maiorescu in the 2nd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Dragoslaveni's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Enoaia came free, but Matei Varga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute of the match Liviu Pascaru shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Costel Toacsen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Laurențiu Panciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Grigore Maiorescu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Dragoslaveni's Matei Varga. Matei Varga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 25 played minutes Dragoslaveni got a freekick which was hit by Liviu Pascaru. Dragoslaveni's Matei Varga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Enoaia in the 27th minute of play. Alexandru Trăistaru hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Matei Varga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Enoaia in the 37th minute of the match. Aurel Manafu hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Matei Varga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Maiorescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Dragoslaveni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonard Enoaia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. BANAT VIOLA played a much better game than Dragoslaveni and deserved their victory. The Dragoslaveni players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
