After a rather tough play, UFC Veseud's Sergiu Costeiantu got a free kick in the 16th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Denis Cotuțiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Cotuțiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mugur Zdrenghea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 19 minutes, Manole Zbârcea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Manole Zbârcea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s Aurel Constantinescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gică Dobrica in the 22nd minute of play. Augustin Papadima hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Aurel Constantinescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Mercescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustinian Gâfu in the 28th minute of play forced Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s goalkeeper Aurel Constantinescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mugur Zdrenghea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 45 minutes, Denis Cotuțiu made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. UFC Veseud's Mugur Zdrenghea tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ştefan Mercescu made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Claudiu Lozovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Zdrenghea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ştefan Mercescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Aurel Constantinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurel Constantinescu made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Sergiu Costeiantu sent off a good shot on target. In the 61st minute, Claudiu Medeleanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Ştefan Mercescu scored to the left of an out of position Aurel Constantinescu, making the score, 2-1. When Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s Gigel Mangra in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UFC Veseud's goalie prevented a goal. After 68 played minutes UFC Veseud got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Costeiantu. Aurel Constantinescu made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Ştefan Mercescu sent off a good shot on target. Augustin Papadima was shown his second yellow card after 73 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s Augustin Papadima got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 81 minutes into the match, Sergiu Costeiantu notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s Aurel Constantinescu. Aurel Constantinescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 84th minute, Denis Cotuțiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute Denis Cotuțiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Zdrenghea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Denis Cotuțiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, UFC Veseud's Ştefan Mercescu got a free kick in the 94th minute. UFC Veseud's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
