The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Norbert Borkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. Jurand Waselenczuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wincent Waldoch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31st play minutes Wincent Waldoch shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Jurand Waselenczuk and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacek Jarocewicz in the 36th minute of play forced AKS Kozienice's goalkeeper Wit Drab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Norbert Dunajski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AKS Kozienice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Purple Shadows the free kick. Norbert Dunajski kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zula Scislowicz to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes AKS Kozienice got a freekick which was hit by Norbert Dunajski. Wit Drab showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zula Scislowicz in the 54th minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, AKS Kozienice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Borkowski to maneuver through the defense. Dariusz Hodas kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Wincent Waldoch kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Zula Scislowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Purple Shadows booed when AKS Kozienice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norbert Borkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
