Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Junkyard Dogs's Nathanial Wainwright started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Salomon Itäluoma came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Palloketut fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salomon Itäluoma couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Junkyard Dogs's Lance Gomersall got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 7th minute, Wesley Straker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lance Gomersall was shown his second yellow card after 12 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Palloketut booed when Junkyard Dogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lance Gomersall didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rami Lehto charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rami Lehto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Palloketut's Rami Lehto got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 20 minutes, Salomon Itäluoma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palloketut and the Junkyard Dogs players grew even worse after the yellow card. Salomon Itäluoma kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Nathanial Wainwright's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimi Nyrhinen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Nathanial Wainwright put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jimi Nyrhinen. If Rami Lehto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Phil Stamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uljas Heinola received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stevie Ely came out and tried to block the shot, but Uljas Heinola slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rami Lehto to make the kick off. Salomon Itäluoma got his second yellow card in the match during the 61st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a defensive mix-up in Junkyard Dogs's zone, Rami Lehto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stevie Ely came out of the goal and Rami Lehto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute, Rami Lehto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Uljas Heinola was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
