Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Kevin Jowsey made the kick off and thus started the match. FC ARK CS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Leigh Case scored to the left of an out of position Nicky Askew, making the score, 1-0. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Conan Shields played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Rowell in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of FC ARK CS booed when Clapham Comets F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Hind didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Rowell in the 9th minute of play forced Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper Conan Shields to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 minutes of play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Kevin Jowsey made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicky Askew was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nicky Askew was a little too slow when Leigh Case got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 3-0. Nicky Askew had great luck who in the 20thth minute grab hold of the ball when Kevin Jowsey from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 23rd minute, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Robert Thorne ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nicky Askew. Nicky Askew yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. After 26 minutes, Bill Hardwick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC ARK CS and the Clapham Comets F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes FC ARK CS got a freekick which was hit by Bill Hardwick. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Kevin Jowsey shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 27th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Nicky Askew but with some difficulty. Trev Drury kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Karl Rowell kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Kevin Jowsey recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicky Askew. Kevin Jowsey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. In the 35th match minute, Clapham Comets F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edward Hind to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Kevin Jowsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicky Askew saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Leigh Case hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 minutes of play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Edward Hind made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicky Askew was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th minute, Piers Nethercot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orson Eglington stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Clapham Comets F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Edward Hind. Nicky Askew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leigh Case, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 played minutes FC ARK CS got a freekick which was hit by Orson Eglington. Frankie Ferdinand hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Edward Hind sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 minutes Clapham Comets F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bill Hardwick who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on FC ARK CS's corner Bill Hardwick fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Conan Shields quite easily take care of the ball. Orson Eglington had several of the Clapham Comets F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 69 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 6-1 score and a disappointed Conan Shields as he didn't even see the shot coming. Nicky Askew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Jowsey in the 73rd minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Robert Thorne left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clapham Comets F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. Nicky Askew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Thorne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st match minute, FC ARK CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orson Eglington to maneuver through the defense. Nicky Askew stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kevin Jowsey's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Clapham Comets F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
