Āris Viszinis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keanu Sawyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart Ryder in the 18th minute of play forced SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Āris Viszinis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Inārs Rimeiks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anthony Cahill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anthony Cahill made an important save on a dangerous shot by Georgs Seletickis in the 21st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reinis Rodiks during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Reinis Rodiks hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Real Death Ducks's Kevin Haseldine got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 44 played minutes SK Annenieki got a freekick which was hit by Ainis Rumanis. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Keanu Sawyer to strike the kick off in the second half. Anthony Cahill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinis Rodiks, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Keanu Sawyer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Āris Viszinis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 64 minutes into the match, Keanu Sawyer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Āris Viszinis, 0-3. 72 minutes into the game, Real Death Ducks's Keanu Sawyer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Āris Viszinis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. A collision led to Real Death Ducks getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Kevin Haseldine hit a great ball. Anthony Cahill didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Georgs Seletickis went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. In the 81st minute, Real Death Ducks's Keanu Sawyer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinis Rodiks in the 85th minute of play forced Real Death Ducks's goalkeeper Anthony Cahill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87 minutes of play, SK Annenieki's Georgs Seletickis made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anthony Cahill was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, SK Annenieki's Āris Viszinis got control of the ball when Keanu Sawyer tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georgs Seletickis in the 91st minute of play forced Real Death Ducks's goalkeeper Anthony Cahill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Real Death Ducks fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! The Real Death Ducks supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Real Death Ducks would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
