The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillen Calderon during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Humberto Alonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Zapico in the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of Picanya FC booed when RACIN DE CHAWEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Zapico didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Padro Cordoba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Abril saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Casado Elguero fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RACIN DE CHAWEN's protests and gave Casado Elguero a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Picanya FC booed when RACIN DE CHAWEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casado Elguero didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Narciso Fresnos in the 28th minute really tested Juan Abril's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Adán Justo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juan Abril came out and tried to block the shot, but Adán Justo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reyes Soler in the 38th minute of play forced Picanya FC's goalkeeper Humberto Alonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, RACIN DE CHAWEN's goalkeeper Juan Abril had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorio Ferrer. Beturian Mudarra charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beturian Mudarra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to RACIN DE CHAWEN getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Beturian Mudarra hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reyes Soler to strike the kick off in the second half. Humberto Alonso made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Fortun Idiaquez sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, RACIN DE CHAWEN's Migúel Gonzalez got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute of the match Narciso Fresnos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juan Abril showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Padro Cordoba might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Abril. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Padro Cordoba ran back to his position shaking his head. After 64 minutes of play, Picanya FC's Victorio Ferrer made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Abril was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd minute Adán Justo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Abril saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Casado Elguero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Alonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reyes Soler, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Picanya FC had won after a very even match.
