Rien Bakker might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brain Gerfen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rien Bakker ran back to his position shaking his head. After 6 minutes of play, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Derk van Boxel made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brain Gerfen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 9 played minutes Youri de Zaaijer rounded Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. In the 12th match minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Izaak Struik to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, Derk van Boxel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brain Gerfen. Kelmond S.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Derk van Boxel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When Rien Bakker fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's protests and gave Rien Bakker a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd match minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rien Bakker to maneuver through the defense. After 26 minutes, Paul Trip mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kelmond S.C. and the Julias Rascals Apeldoorn players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paul Trip hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Rien Bakker might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brain Gerfen. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kelmond S.C.'s goalkeeper Brain Gerfen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Taco Zwartkruis made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Klaus Blaauwgeers sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute Derk van Boxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brain Gerfen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rien Bakker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 52nd match minute, Kelmond S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Trip to maneuver through the defense. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Rik Meijs got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Youri de Zaaijer during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute Derk van Boxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brain Gerfen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 played minutes Kelmond S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Izaak Hofsteenge. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Rien Bakker got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Izaak Hofsteenge hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Kelmond S.C.'s Brain Gerfen got control of the ball when Rien Bakker tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Rien Bakker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Brain Gerfen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Youri de Zaaijer kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Brain Gerfen had great luck who in the 84thth minute grab hold of the ball when Derk van Boxel from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Kelmond S.C.'s Brain Gerfen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Kelmond S.C. from getting a goal against them. The Julias Rascals Apeldoorn players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
