Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Jozef Medvecký successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jozef Medvecký showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Toolenaar, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Marcel Toolenaar struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Jozef Medvecký didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Weed Excelsior. After some careless play in the Weed Excelsior defense, Tibor Salaj kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Smeekes. The Weed Excelsior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Smeekes should have stopped the shot. Thomas Smeekes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Opatovský in the 22nd minute of play. Thomas Smeekes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Benko in the 23rd minute of play. Thomas Smeekes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tibor Salaj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Marcel Toolenaar kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 54 played minutes Weed Excelsior got a freekick which was hit by Hendrik Hoekstra. After 57 minutes of play, Rusinska Cigelka's Matúš Muller made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomas Smeekes was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Weed Excelsior getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Marcel Toolenaar hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Tibor Salaj had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Smeekes. Weed Excelsior's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tibor Salaj was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. In the 66th minute Ivan Opatovský shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Smeekes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Brain Oosterhof fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Weed Excelsior's protests and gave Brain Oosterhof a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th match minute, Weed Excelsior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brain Oosterhof to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lukáč Hnát during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hendrik van der Struijk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rusinska Cigelka's Jozef Medvecký played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurgen Oorschot in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Matúš Muller cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-6. Thomas Smeekes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Weed Excelsior booed when Rusinska Cigelka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dávid Václavík didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Bartolomej Václavík hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rusinska Cigelka's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
