Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Angelo Vandamme took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Dark Energy's Conrad Van den Bergh got a free kick in the 5th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Dark Energy's goal looked a bit too open when Klaus De Bougne came free, but Glen Jooris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mike Buyck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Glen Jooris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Ouagadougou National's Roben Quinet got a free kick in the 14th minute. The supporters of Dark Energy booed when FC Ouagadougou National was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Maseur didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Rene Susters got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 20th play minutes Klaus De Bougne shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Glen Jooris and just under the crossbar into goal. Christiaan Van Laer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Vandamme, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. FC Ouagadougou National were furious when Vince Matthijs was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When Roben Quinet came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the FC Ouagadougou National fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roben Quinet couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Angelo Vandamme kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christiaan Van Laer. That made the score 4-1 in the 39 minute of play. Glen Jooris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roben Quinet, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Vandamme in the 47th minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Christiaan Van Laer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Greg Van Goolen was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Vandamme in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christiaan Van Laer saved FC Ouagadougou National from getting behind. Glen Jooris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roben Quinet in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute Roben Quinet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glen Jooris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ouagadougou National's zone, Rene Susters stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christiaan Van Laer came out of the goal and Rene Susters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Conrad Van den Bergh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Ouagadougou National's Bryan Van Haeght shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 75th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Glen Jooris but with some difficulty. Bryan Van Haeght received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Glen Jooris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to FC Ouagadougou National getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Roben Smoors hit a great ball. In the 91st minute Angelo Vandamme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiaan Van Laer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrad Van den Bergh hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Ouagadougou National players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dark Energy.
