Spectators: 149 (Terracing: 112, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Tião Velasco started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Faustão Corrêa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Fiori Galvão made a huge save. After 6 played minutes Grêmio Imortal got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Freire. Enéas Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Carlos Augusto Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Augusto Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Alves in the 15th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toninho Alves in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Augusto Esteves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tião Velasco got free with Fiori Galvão in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toninho Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto Esteves having to interfere. The supporters of SERRANO booed when Grêmio Imortal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. SERRANO's Emílio Freire couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 38th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Grêmio Imortal. The supporters of SERRANO booed when Grêmio Imortal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, SERRANO's Emílio Freire tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Róbson Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tião Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Fiori Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toninho Alves to make the kick off. Fiori Galvão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tião Velasco's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. If Toninho Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 played minutes Grêmio Imortal got a freekick which was hit by Tião Velasco. In the 59th minute, Silas de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd match minute, SERRANO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Vítor Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Fiori Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Dantas in the 64th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio Imortal's zone, Róbson Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Augusto Esteves came out of the goal and Róbson Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalmo Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cláudio Freire charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cláudio Freire the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SERRANO booed when Grêmio Imortal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Velasco in the 80th minute of play forced SERRANO's goalkeeper Fiori Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Grêmio Imortal got a corner. SERRANO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Basílio Dantas ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Basílio Dantas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fiori Galvão quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, SERRANO's Toninho Alves got a free kick in the 90th minute. After 92 minutes, Dalmo Freitas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Imortal and the SERRANO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dalmo Freitas hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
