Dênis Paulista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Toscano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Espigão Steamrollers's Otávio Valadares couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Dal 3ello. Juninho Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Dênis Paulista when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 21st minute, Sandro Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Romário Catarinense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomás Coelho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim de Castro in the 28th minute of play forced Espigão Steamrollers's goalkeeper Dênis Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romário Catarinense hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Dal 3ello's Thomás Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Veiga in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Espigão Steamrollers were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd minute, Otávio Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Espigão Steamrollers's zone, Noel Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dênis Paulista came out of the goal and Noel Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Espigão Steamrollers's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Seco came free, but Dênis Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Dal 3ello's Serafim de Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dênis Paulista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. A collision led to Dal 3ello getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Serafim de Castro hit a great ball. In the 84th match minute, Dal 3ello was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Romário Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Thomás Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dal 3ello were furious when Zeca da Silva was red carded, 89 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dal 3ello! Thomás Coelho had in the 91stth minute some difficulties stopping Otávio Valadares's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With a little luck, Dal 3ello's Thomás Coelho got control of the ball when Romário Catarinense tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute Jairo Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 98th minute of the match, Romário Catarinense got a very nice opportunity to score, but Thomás Coelho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Espigão Steamrollers's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
