Reynaldo Arantes started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Natã Valladares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Arantes. 14 minutes into the match, Christiano Veiga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vivaldo Paraíba. Blumenau Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christiano Veiga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Blumenau Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Edu Massa came free, but Vivaldo Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Edu Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Edu Massa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vivaldo Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes into the match, Blumenau Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredinho Massa came free, but Vivaldo Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natã Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Arantes in the 26th minute of play. If Edu Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flávio Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natã Valladares having to interfere. Claudinho Fontes hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 47th match minute, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Cearense to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute of the match Gonçalo Mendonça sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Natã Valladares skillfully saved the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christiano Veiga to make the kick off. Flávio Meireles scored 1-1 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natã Valladares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vivaldo Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Veiga in the 55th minute of the match. Flávio Meireles's late challenge caught a CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flávio Meireles helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Blumenau Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Flávio Meireles hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Vivaldo Paraíba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinho Fontes. In the 77th match minute, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hílton Abraão to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's zone, Gonçalo Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natã Valladares came out of the goal and Gonçalo Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ defense, Reynaldo Arantes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Natã Valladares. The CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Natã Valladares should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute, Rodolfo Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Blumenau Esporte Clube had won after a very even match.
