The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Austra VFC booed when Jukatriz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Váldson da Silva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Vito Velloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mauro Garcia's late challenge caught a Jukatriz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mauro Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Austra VFC's Mauro Garcia got a free kick in the 20th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Jukatriz's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson da Silva came free, but Vito Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernani Tavares hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Clóvis Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vito Velloso came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Austra VFC's Miguel Alagoano. But to his dismay, Miguel Alagoano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 32nd minute Miguel Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Jukatriz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edinho Machado to maneuver through the defense. Vito Velloso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Alagoano went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Austra VFC! Clóvis Zonta had in the 41stth minute some difficulties stopping Benjamin Lopez's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 43rd minute, Miguel Alagoano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Jukatriz's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Nogueira came free, but Vito Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Alagoano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vito Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Alagoano in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Germano Branco in the 55th minute of play forced Austra VFC's goalkeeper Clóvis Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miguel Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Velloso having to interfere. Adalberto Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Sydney Nogueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vito Velloso. Jukatriz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vito Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vito Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Doni Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clóvis Zonta having to interfere. The supporters of Jukatriz booed when Austra VFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rômulo Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Austra VFC's Clóvis Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Branco in the 90th minute of play. In the 91stth minute of the game Raimundo Travassos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Austra VFC's Clóvis Zonta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Váldson da Silva struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Vito Velloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Austra VFC.
