Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when César Godoi kicked off to start the match. In the 4thth minute of the game Cléberson Damião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio Meia Praia's Oswaldo Fontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 8 minutes, Manfredo Cabral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- and the Grêmio Meia Praia players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Manfredo Cabral hit a great ball. In the 12th match minute, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Cabral to maneuver through the defense. Arthur Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manfredo Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Cléberson Damião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio Meia Praia's Oswaldo Fontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oswaldo Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléberson Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute Cléberson Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cléberson Damião in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oswaldo Fontes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Cléberson Damião put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Oswaldo Fontes. Oswaldo Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléberson Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 played minutes Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- got a freekick which was hit by Jarbas Sanches. Valdemar Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Godoi in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cléberson Damião stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Grêmio Meia Praia getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Mazinho Almeida hit a great ball. Grêmio Meia Praia's Oswaldo Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Meia Praia from getting a goal against them. Oswaldo Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cléberson Damião's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Oswaldo Fontes stood somewhat misplaced when Cléberson Damião came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 60 minute. Cléberson Damião did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Oswaldo Fontes 71 minutes into the match. When Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Cléberson Damião in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grêmio Meia Praia's goalie prevented a goal. 81 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goal looked a bit too open when César Godoi came free, but Valdemar Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 minutes, Carlos Augusto Mazza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- and the Grêmio Meia Praia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Carlos Augusto Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdemar Quadros came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio Meia Praia's César Godoi. But to his dismay, César Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 88th minute Cléberson Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Oswaldo Fontes managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Cléberson Damião fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Grêmio Meia Praia's Oswaldo Fontes got control of the ball when Cipriano Ferraz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th minute Cléberson Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
