Real Fantasma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Febre Amarela the free kick. When Luís Fernando Massa came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Febre Amarela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fernando Massa couldn't finish the play. In the 20th match minute, Real Fantasma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davi Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. After 26 played minutes Febre Amarela got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Moraes. Franklin Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lenílson Palmeira scored 1-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franklin Berger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Real Fantasma's Franklin Berger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando Massa in the 35th minute of play. Franklin Berger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lenílson Palmeira went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Válbson Souto was the one to do the kick off.
