Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Evaristo Vinhas kicked off to start the match. Hugo Albuquerque had several of the Juventus EC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 2 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Mateus de Senna as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, MINEIROS's William Guerreiro got a free kick in the 6th minute. Mateus de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Quadros in the 9th minute of play. Joel Quadros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mateus de Senna came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Quadros slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 10th minute. 17 minutes into the match, MINEIROS's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Vinhas came free, but Serginho Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Hugo Albuquerque reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mateus de Senna. The goal made the score 3-0. With an all-out effort, MINEIROS's Mateus de Senna threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Quadros, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Juventus EC's zone, Benê Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus de Senna came out of the goal and Benê Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute, MINEIROS's Toninho Goiano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mateus de Senna. Mateus de Senna yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. After 36 played minutes Juventus EC got a freekick which was hit by Dorival Dionísio. João Vítor Linhares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Mateus de Senna made a huge save. Serafim Bittencourt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Serginho Taffarel. MINEIROS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 41st match minute, MINEIROS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Quadros to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toninho Goiano was the one to do the kick off. In the 63rd minute Toninho Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Quadros scored 6-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mateus de Senna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 69 minutes into the match, Toninho Goiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mateus de Senna. Juventus EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Toninho Goiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. A collision led to MINEIROS getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. William Guerreiro hit a great ball. Juventus EC's Enéas Urbano shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 72nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Serginho Taffarel but with some difficulty. Joel Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Mateus de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 minutes of play, MINEIROS's Joel Quadros made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mateus de Senna was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Quadros during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Juventus EC booed when MINEIROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Benê Amorim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateus de Senna was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. The audience was convinced that Joel Quadros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateus de Senna was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. 93 minutes into the match, Juventus EC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Quadros came free, but Mateus de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Benê Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the MINEIROS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benê Amorim couldn't finish the play. Mateus de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toninho Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MINEIROS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
