CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Edgar Freire 11 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. If Frédson Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Charles Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 22 played minutes CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Tasso. Davi Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Freire in the 23rd minute of the match. Edgar Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th match minute, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Arantes to maneuver through the defense. After 32 played minutes Sangue nos Zóio got a freekick which was hit by José Maria Severo. In the 38th match minute, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hudson Alves to maneuver through the defense. After 44 minutes, Renatinho de Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sangue nos Zóio and the CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sangue nos Zóio getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Renatinho de Andrade hit a great ball. After 46 played minutes Sangue nos Zóio got a freekick which was hit by Fernandão Seco. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Edgar Freire made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 59 minutes, Edgar Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sangue nos Zóio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Sangue nos Zóio booed when CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Renatinho de Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Sangue nos Zóio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renatinho de Andrade couldn't finish the play. In the 81st match minute, Sangue nos Zóio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Antônio Carlos Leme made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Charles Garcia sent off a good shot on target. Renatinho de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A sloppy throw-in by Jairo Arantes in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sangue nos Zóio's Fernandão Seco. When the referee ended the match the Sangue nos Zóio players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
