An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Cidro in the 11th minute of play forced Rivermania FC's goalkeeper Ceferino Dominix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elpidio Aragones didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nereo Fresco went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Orlando Oihenarte hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Nereo Fresco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Norberto Maidana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elpidio Aragones. Defensores de Lombroso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norberto Maidana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Elpidio Aragones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Fresco in the 43rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 56 played minutes Rivermania FC got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Illart. After some careless play in the Rivermania FC defense, Diego Latorre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ceferino Dominix. The Rivermania FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ceferino Dominix should have stopped the shot. 65 minutes into the match, Nereo Fresco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elpidio Aragones. Defensores de Lombroso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nereo Fresco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Ramiro Cidro struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Ceferino Dominix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensores de Lombroso. In the 75th match minute, Rivermania FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Fresco to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelo Farias during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 played minutes Defensores de Lombroso got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Farias. Elpidio Aragones acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 78th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cecilio Senin. Nereo Fresco took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elpidio Aragones. Elpidio Aragones dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. After having played for 84 minutes, Nereo Fresco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rivermania FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nereo Fresco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute, Nereo Fresco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rivermania FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. In the 89th match minute, Defensores de Lombroso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Colon to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd match minute, Defensores de Lombroso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Farias to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rivermania FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
