In the 3rd minute, Growlithe FC's Gaudencio Celio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gervasio Ireno. Gervasio Ireno yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Maximino Aragones charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximino Aragones the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Growlithe FC's Maximino Aragones got a free kick in the 9th minute. Growlithe FC's Gaudencio Celio was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 13th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 20 played minutes Growlithe FC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Raymon. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Pedroso in the 21st minute of play forced Growlithe FC's goalkeeper Victor Frans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gervasio Ireno was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gaudencio Celio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 27 minute of play. After 31 played minutes, Growlithe FC's Tadeo Sanson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gervasio Ireno came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Growlithe FC reached it. After a rather tough play, Castelar F.C.'s Erasmo Joseph got a free kick in the 33rd minute. A hard shot by Tadeo Sanson from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Gervasio Ireno's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Gaudencio Celio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Gervasio Ireno when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Colon Barco came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Growlithe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Colon Barco couldn't finish the play. After 41 minutes, Arsenio Guzman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castelar F.C. and the Growlithe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicolas Emesto charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Emesto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Castelar F.C. made a substitution. Nicasio Laurentzi replaced Erasmo Joseph. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicasio Laurentzi to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Growlithe FC defense, Nicasio Laurentzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victor Frans. The Growlithe FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victor Frans should have stopped the shot. Victor Frans was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Hipolito Gabrio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hipolito Gabrio really showed his touch with that goal: 5-3. Gervasio Ireno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Celio in the 86th minute of the match. Gervasio Ireno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Colon Barco in the 91st minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Castelar F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Growlithe FC.
