In the 15th minute Ricardo Llorenc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Figueroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 20 minutes, Juan Lizer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Lizer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Honorato Ihintza's late challenge caught a Atletico Calamar Saavedra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Honorato Ihintza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute, Honorato Ihintza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Nicolas Laurentzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Figueroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Llorenc succeeded in the game's 25th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Lizer during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Atletico Calamar Saavedra's Juan Lizer got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute Ricardo Llorenc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Figueroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moises Bermund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Anselmo Tabb made a huge save. The supporters of Yala booed when Atletico Calamar Saavedra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleto Pudes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rdth minute of the game Ricardo Llorenc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yala's Ruperto Figueroa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Yala getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Justo Gil hit a great ball. After the first half Atletico Calamar Saavedra were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Llorenc to make the kick off. Anselmo Tabb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Bermund in the 64th minute of play. Ruperto Figueroa had great luck who in the 66thth minute grab hold of the ball when Juan Lizer from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 68 minutes into the match, Moises Bermund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anselmo Tabb. Atletico Calamar Saavedra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moises Bermund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Julio Venceslao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Tabb having to interfere. Nicolas Laurentzi hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Ruperto Figueroa was a little too slow when Ricardo Llorenc got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-2. A collision led to Yala getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Zeledon Oro hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Juan Lizer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moises Bermund might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmo Tabb. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moises Bermund ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Atletico Calamar Saavedra had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
