Wayne Whitfield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Carriedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Quinn Todd was the one to do the kick off. Wayne Whitfield came out and tried to block the shot, but Jesus Carriedo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 92nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jesus Carriedo in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wayne Whitfield saved Tango en Miami FC from getting behind. When the match was over C.S.D Punta Ballena could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tango en Miami FC throughout the match.
